This kind of sign seems dangerous.
I would definitely try to unlock a better message, like
TOO FAST
HOLY SHIT
YOU CRAZY
OMGWTFBBQ
I AINT EVEN MAD

There’s one of those near my house. They recently changed it to say “slow down” beyond 10 over because several people crashed trying to get a “high score” (road is a curved hill crest)

There is a better message I have unlocked before. I have seen it flash blue/red/blue/red, but I don’t know what speed triggers that, since it doesn’t read higher than +9.
The “slow down” displays at +10

I saw one in Iceland that was just happy face if you’re under the limit, or frowny face if you are over. No one likes being frowned at...

We had one of these radars on the road outside the apartment I lived in freshman year of my undergrad, so we put a marker and whiteboard with a “High Score” table on it on our front door. The radar was removed and replaced with a speed bump about two weeks later...

The local city’s something weird has a snail for logo, so some of the speed signs flash for slow down, and then change to showing you a SNAIL of all things. Instant urge to start speeding again.

+20 unlocks the blue/red flashing display, BTW.
What do you think +30 will unlock?

The iron bars 3d effect.

Every one I’ve seen starts the red-blue flashing at 1 over, which I think has been 36 mph in every context so far.

Surely what you want to do in a top-heavy rear-engined car is lift in the middle of a turn.

NEVER LIFT

I don’t think I’ve ever rolled a +20 on one of these. I get the “slow down” all the time on my local ones, though. I thought that was the limit of their capabilities (speed in yellow, blinking about the speed in yellow, then a generic “slow down” blinking in red). I don’t know if I should risk it, but now I kind of want to see if there’s something more.

Now I really want to trigger the red and blue.... on my bike.

Wow. Here they’re a little more conservative. You get the flashies at 5 over. Unrelated, I want to put motion lights on my house that strobe red/blue.

Such a good use of resources.

That’s my feeling too. In the UK they often have signs that show your exact speed as a warning but they don’t have any form of camera to catch you. One on my regular commute is just before a tight right-left bend. Most people at 3am (when I usually drive past it due to work shift) use it as a high score board for speeding plus late braking.
Yes, people speed up for the signs. I think that’s why they turned it off about 2 weeks ago..

Haha, I got pulled over in the Westy once, “You know there is such a thing as too slow...” was all the officer said.
To be fair we were convoying and I was trying to get traffic out from between us, so I was right lane way over facilitating people to pass.
