This is normal under higher boost takeoff.

Before becomming a pilot, my father used to be a mechanic on Constellations and Super Constellations... Needless to say my house is filled with miniatures, some actually not “mini” at all lol

awesome. I’m sorry that your father had to do spark plug changes on this beast at 56 plugs/engine.

At least it wasn’t a B-36. That thing had 336 spark plugs to change.

Oh hell yes. That’s awesome.

I never knew that. I like that plane even more now. Thanks for posting that.
Props and afterburner all in one.

Bet everyone’s glad it’s all jets and turbines now...

Except for that guy that walked infront of the operating jetengine intake

Well that wouldn’t have happened if he were more careful.

You beat me to the exact statement. Mechanics carried them to the flightline in buckets.

That was the killerest airplane video I’ve watched in many moons. Thank you.

Not me. Jets are cool, but give me the sound of an A-1 flying overhead any day. And just listen to this. Jets got nothing on this.

I am disappointed my Mazda doesn’t do that under heavy acceleration...

This makes me happy.

Nothing quite like multiple flames so close to thousands of gallons of Avgas. I guess that would be one way to find out if you have a leak in one of the tanks...

yep thats the guy. I bet he doesn;t like jets anymore

Connies had 3350's.....3350's are 18 cylinders so they have 36 plugs per engine
