WINTER IS COMING, the S2000 is priced above my comfort zone, and I’m hunting for a new job.
All these factors have led me to consider just keeping the Si and driving it into the ground. I wonder what the record for highest mileage K20 is...

Quick Google search says 300K

well if you’re hunting for a new job...I would keep the $ and use it for something you NEED... Civic Si is a great car. Anything wrong with yours??

Probably way higher than you would drive in your lifetime. I know a R53 Cooper S with 380,000 on its original engine and trans (OK they were rebuilt 9,000mi ago but still, 370,000mi all original!)

That’s probably your answer then. A new set of car payments just aren’t something you should be adding if your job situation isn’t stable.

That’s good to hear. My assumption was that something was wrong with your current car. I had an Si (‘08, in white) that never missed a beat for 200k mi. Sort out your job situation FIRST, then you can make a better decision about a car once everything stabalizes.
