Found him to be friendly and normal. He’s a car-twin with Tom. He even invited me to go kart-racing with him this weekend, but my wife and I are having dinner with my mom Sunday.

Finding a car fan who’s not a complete fuckwit is much harder than it sounds (in some circles anyway - looking at you JDM).
I drove an hour North recently to buy targa bags for my MR2, met the nicest young MR2 owner in the known world. Chatted for an hour without even knowing it. Gold!

I still want a Z3 M coupe to a degree since coming close to getting one last year, but finding the moments in regular driving when I can push the GTI unnecessarily hard makes me realize that I am happier with a fun daily driver than a boring DD and a fun car that I have to make plans to drive.
