I swear everyone cares about my birthday except me. I just feel like I’m getting usefuselessly older.

Now if someone would give me one of these I would feel differently...

It has no perks. You can already do anything; from 21 up it’s all just getting on with the business of getting old. :/

16 you get to drive, 18 you are accepted as a serious member of society (whether you are or not), 19 (for me) was legal drinking, 21 meant I could do the same when visiting the USA, 22... um ya. Next stop 40.

Thank you for finding the missing link. I couldn’t think of one between 21 and 40.

Not that 40 would be something to look forward to, but it is at least a milestone where everything else is just a number.

I was in a real bad spot when I turned 22. Then it turned out to be one of the best years of my life. I moved out of my parents house, bought an E46 M3 and met the woman who is now my wife.

Well I don’t see them in the wild everyday either haha. Total, I saw 3 in a bit over two years. One was being revved like crazy though, 1.5 years ago, almost running a red light in Shizuoka...

I do see a lot regularly though but this is solely due to the fact that I hunt for car shows and meets for my spare time so they’re not really ”in the wild”...

Yesterday’s one was cruising at 50kph in 2nd gear. Very enjoyable :)

I found my 20s to be the most fun, 30s hardest working (house, starting family etc) and now at 44 I’m just friggin exhausted at the end of each day. So don’t worry about the numbers for a while and go have fun!!!!

I dream of just seeing one. This has always been one of my favorite cars. If I won the lottery would be the 3rd purchase. 1) something for the fiance 2) a house to store cars in 3) a 2000 GT 4) LS460 5) restore my LS400 and done. Save the rest.

I’m also exhausted at the end of each day haha. I was telling the fiancé i feel 50 from the legs down. I hurt my ACL I think, wrecked ny ankles somehow, and I’m just sore.

Not true. At 25 you start getting a discount on car insurance, supposedly due to decreasing testosterone. Married people also get some kind of discount and I think they stack.

You can also rent cars from every major rental company without any underage surcharge.

I’m a bit older but I can confirm that all birthdays feel the same after certain date. They suck. 18th was the only that seemed to have some purpose in the form of driver’s license.

Mind you, in my experience, that’s not much of a bonus.
