There’s a bolt and nut that connects the shift rod to the shift coupler via clamping. The shift rod slipped off last summer on the freeway and was severely rounded and worn out with my countless attempts to get it free; until I got it free and replaced the bolt and nut before work today!

Just out of curiosity how often do you get rides in/drive that bad boy? (When it’s working, I guess).

I drive it pretty much every time it’s running. My dad and I switch off though.

If you’re suicidal there are far easier ways.

Awesome! Good to know it’s being driven and cared for.

Just be careful about how a flatbed hooks that. In some cases, towing nose down would be a lot safer.
