Spotted at a local factory this morning. Ontario plates, taped-over badges, and plenty of salt.
I think it’s an improvement over the last one and better looking than the sedan, but I can’t say I’m a huge fan of that rear or the new grill. Plus side, I bet the trunk opening is huge.
And how do you put a window like that on the back of a car and not sell it with a rear wiper? That was one of the things I disliked about my Civic and it seems they’re sticking to it.

With those lines, this will for sure be owned by boy racers everywhere. Appearing in your local high school parking lots soon.

Woof, that rear. :(
When comparing to the 8th gen, I’m just like, what the heck has happened to this car?!

When your rear view camera malfunctions you’ll have a huge problem.

the blandness with design from Timecop is real
— the hypetrain is not

Still needs to be a hatchback.

Those are Ontario plates. Which makes sense, since Honda has a plant here, as well as some offices.

Those wheels. Guh.
What ever happened to clean, simple wheel designs?

The rear windscreen wiper is one of my pet peeves - manufacturers, please just throw this in, mmmkay? In the winter, salt splatter gets EVERYWHERE, including the rear screen.
The rear end of the car is very busy, but I find it interesting. It seems so different from the side of the car, which doesn’t look like much has changed at all.
Also, these are Ontario plates. If it's near the Honda factory then this would have to be around Alliston, Ontario.

I may be in the minority but I like it! Although not that chrome trim around the windows...that shit needs to go.

Though I don’t like the Civic myself. If I had to have one it would be the hatchback. Though the rear spoiler hinders rear view a little there is still a little area below that can be seen through, also has a rear wiper.

that butt looks like a robot mask. the whole thing is terrible. so many lines and angles that do nothing and pointless mesh and black junk. I really cannot believe this is what they came up with.

I don’t know how I feel about this. I like the back but I don’t like the area between the B and C pillars.

Don’t care for it, myself. Which is odd, because I really like the new Civic sedan.

I don’t know, maybe let the tuners have their way with it and see what happens. I think it looks pretty good.
Honestly, I can see where your hesitation comes in though; compared to old Civics, it looks like an Accord hatch.

All I see is two door accord crosstour

I like the robot mask butt.
As for the rear wiper... it may not be necessary. If the aerodynamics are right, there shouldn’t be turbulance by the back window, which in turn would mean that there won’t be buildup of dirt on the window as you drive

I don’t mind it...

My biggest problem with my Civic was the rain. Until I Rain-X’d all my windows, I couldn’t see out the rear while it was raining.
This was many miles south of Ontario.

I never had a problem with dirt on my Civic coupe. However, rain would just sit there, out of the air flow, and block my view. Once I Rain-X’d the window it was passable, but I still wanted a wiper.
