Just wait until college. I’m gonna have to take computational fluid dynamics, statics, linear algebra, vector calculus, the works.

Which one of those will you use most in the real world?

Probably PreCal 2

Watched a documentary last night on the Large Hadron Collider - Particle Fever. Reminded me that I’d gotten an A in high school physics, an A- in Physics 101 (U. MD) and that I’ve forgotten all but the most basic motion equations. Derp.

Do you enjoy hurting yourself or something...?

You’d be amazed how much chem comes up in the real world.

Haven’t had much in my field. I guess some environmental reports have chem terms but it’s not like anyone actually reads those.

What do you plan on majoring in college? Taking those AP tests will speed up graduation so much.

Real talk, keep taking AP classes. Take the PSAT every time they offer it. Try to take AP English if you can. College English really is terrible, avoid paying for those units at all costs.
Your GPA gets you into college, your SAT/ACT gets you all of the merit scholarships that the universities offer.
Senior year, look up scholarships and write essays. Bonus points if you do AP English and your instructor will grade them for you as assignments.
Take online classes/summer classes at your local junior college. The more units you can get done now, the fewer semesters you have to pay for room and board.
Apply to as many universities as you can muster (application fees can go up over $100)
Do you have a major yet? What universities have you been to look at so far?
I'm a college junior who wishes he had half the info I just gave. AMA

Just finished AP English with a 93. Real fun class (surprisingly) either due to or despite all the work.
There’s some type of reluctance or laziness that’s holding me back from researching colleges, but my default when someone asks is NC State.

Vector calc and dirac notation were the bane of my existence for undergrad and grad quantum mechanics. Much prefer using a computer to do those ridiculous calculations.
