Alex and I hung out today. I fiddled with his SCT X4 tuner a bit and now I’m definitely buying one when my next paycheck comes rolling in.
So much mediocrity in one picture.
New head unit is nice as hell, by the way.

It’s a little know fact that even though the T-bird had the 5.0 V8 it was electronically limited to 115 mph.

94 and up they actually had the 4.6 Modular limited to about 106. Not that most T-Bird owners are the type to take it that high.

Both of those are spectacularly terrible.

I’m only familiar with the 92/93. I had a high school classmate that had one and occasionally we would race... and my Datsun Z would always top out at about 6,000 rpm in 4th gear which was a bit faster then his speed limiter.

if it was an sc it wouldnt be mediocre.

No, it would just have a blown headgasket.

If it was an SC it wouldn't be running

first, it’s a ‘95 so it has a 4.6 modular, second the limiter is damn easy to remove.

yeah someone would attempt to change the head gaskets and give up half way through.

My max speed in this one after removing the limiter was 120-130 (hard to say exactly because the speedo only goes to 120). I’ve timed my 0-60 at 5.63 seconds and my quarter mile at 15.32 seconds. Before I bought it the previous owner had it on Nitrous and claimed he could get a 13.8 second quarter mile out of it. So it’s not slow, just not exactly fast.
