Heading to Wisconsin for a rallycross tomorrow. I leave from west Michigan. I’m prepping the FiST tonight and caling it an early bedtime. I roll out at 3am.
A tall order? Maybe. Crazy? Definitely. Adrenaline pumping? Like doing a snowball with Robert Downey Jr.! (with respect to Robert Evans for this joke. And if you don’t understand, then you need to watch the show “ !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ”)
Getting over the breakup the correct way. Road trips and racing. If anyone else will be there at the milwaukee mile rallycross, look for the blue FiST with a michigan plate. Pretty sure I’m the only one.

Are you doing the event with Milwaukee Track Days at Milwaukee Mile?

Please do a follow up and take plenty of pictures! I’m extremely interested but want to sit the first one out and hear how it goes before signing up for the next one. I’m curious to know how many runs, what the snow conditions are like, and how much abuse is put on the cars.

The most questionable part is definitely gonna be snow coverage.
I really like the ice rallyx events on frozen lakes, because you aren’t wearing down the tires as much and I imagine the abuse on the cars is much less.

Yep!

I charged up my go-pro batteries and will take video.

I can’t tell if the event will be on dirt or track? Like were they hoping snow would fall on the pavement?

I'm planning on going to spectate awhile. Should be fun times.

Can’t wait to lose to you! :-D
(I’ll be in the Party ST, white with black winter wheels)

It’s on the road course with cones. There was some snow down earlier this week, but I guarantee it’ll be worn through later in the day. I’m very seriously considering bringing my all-seasons with and swapping during lunch if it’s bad enough.
e: There are a couple of aerial photos from the other day here

Hah. I wore out my snow tires so I’m just going to drift and slide. Probbly won’t win. ut I need to get back on my feet. And racing always works.

Ho boy......might not run too hard in the afternoon then.

Almost as much fun as driving! :-P

I agree, but I don't have a vehicle that would work for such things. My fun car is sleeping for winter, and I don't think a Colorado would be welcome...

I keep forgetting you're on the west side

*throws the signs* G-RAP! WEST SIDE LOOOOOOVE!

I think someone on the Facebook event page asked about an F-250. So you’re at least not the craziest person.
Also, fun cars should be fun in winter!

Sweet!
I’ll be up there with @fourvalleys and @stang70fastback

I’m with you there! I’m a little sad it’s only broken down into two classes (2WD and 4WD) since I’m not realy a big fan of FWD on loose stuff. Even worse once it inevitably dries up. We’ll see how it goes.

Ehhh. It’s much easier to let it nap, instead of switching it back to 91, since E85 goes to crappy E70 over winter. It’s also almost 10 years old with only 63k, and quite frankly I don’t trust other people to not crash into me, especially in winter.

Here’s a picture with the course, from Facebook.
