It might not be the newest generation, but this is how Cadillac brake lights should look: long.
I’ve always admired the second generation CTS’ design. There’s something sexy about it to me. I’m not saying that I’m happy about my mechanic burning my truck’s engine to a crisp (full story coming), but I can’t say that I’m unhappy with what I replaced it with. The butt looks hot at night.
Also, the Direct Injected 3.6 powerplant gives this car more acceleration than any vehicle I’ve ever owned. Mé gustá.

Long tail lights, you say?

Sadly, no. The mechanic that I took my truck to for an acceleration problem caught it on fire and bought it from me for a fair price. I couldn’t find a truck that I was happy with for the money, but this one owner, fully-optioned 2008 CTS with only 63,000 miles and brand new tires was the best choice.
I could've gotten a current generation CTS, but I didn't want a payment yet (saving up for a batshit car in a couple of years).

The tail lights are my favorite part of many Cadillacs.

I was driving home from a cigar lounge tonight behind an XTS. I thought, “Damn, those tail lights look fantastic.” Then I remembered that I have the exact same tail lamp design.

wait, at first I thought you were kidding but then I realized you weren’t. How the fuck did he manage to do that? haha

I think they’re a bit too long on the Escalade, and the same for the CTS Gen 2 coupe. The long tail lights don’t complement the body shapes, and I just don’t like the CTS coupes.
Other than that, I’m all for em.
And damn, Texas Direct Auto is freakin everywhere.

CADILLAC CREW

No joke. They were testing the fuel line and put a flow monitor between the line and the intake. This caused it to leak fuel onto the exhaust manifold, which started a small fire. The small fire caused a larger leak, which caused a larger fire. Then everything under the hood caught fire, which caused them to give me a check.

Yes, Texas Direct is getting pretty big. I should be going there tomorrow to grope Arnold’s Unimog.

Rear lights have come a long way from generic Lucas dome lights.

New toy then? Very nice choice. Did you get the manual or auto?

Oh how I hate Cadillac LED tail lights. I hate them with the fiery passion of a thousand burning hells. The “refresh rate” or whatever you call it for LED’s is way too low, so they leave multi-images for me whenever I see them at night. Cadillac’s are by far the worst for this. Other GM’s leave a slight multi-image, but other manufacturers obviously have their shit figured out because I don’t notice this with any other manufacturers vehicles.
