I was secretly hoping all week Cadillac would revel a coupe version of the CTS (and maybe a convertible but I digress). I mean Mercedes and BMW have a coupe version and I want Cadillac to come back with a big touring luxury coupe. I love the new Cadillac lineup but until we get a real big luxury coupe it just doesn’t feel like Cadillac.

I thought the ATS coupe pretty much took the place of the CTS coupe though?

According to the Germans, this is the CTS Coupe

I agree, I’ve heard the market for them is dwindling but damn the sedan looks so good the coupe would be amazing.
Maybe they feel it would cut into corvette and camaro numbers

CT6 coupe will be where it’s at.

If it doesn’t look at least slightly like the Elmiraj they’ll have blown it.

Cadillac is too small to have 2 coupes. The ATS-V coupe shares a ton of parts with the Camaro SS, so its the cheaper alternative to build

If the ATS had these we wouldn’t have to ask this question.

I shall take my winnings and use them for the greater good.

Perhaps. It's smaller. Why can't Cadillc have two coupes?

Funniest thing I've seen all day

I doubt very much it would cut into that market segment and even if is dwindling a stylish coupe is always a good option and the market is more or less still there

I doubt they’ll do another CTS coupe, but I hope I’m wrong!

I really hope you're right. That would be great

I think they sold something like 170k cars this year. They really aren't that small anymore

I don’t think Cadillac would be able to sell enough for them to have two. It’s just not feasible right now imo. Cadillac has gotten better at going away from the grandpa styling, but it is still a company known for catering (aside from the Escalade) to the older population. Their target market simply doesn’t have a need for a coupe.

Oh yeah, I completely agree with you. These are just the excuses I bet the bean counters are throwing around.
Cadillac needs it's own Audi R8 halo car more than anything though

Their target market needs a coupe. They people that buy them do not

They keep having rumors about a mid engined corvette. My suspicion is it's a mid engined Cadillac

That’d be nice, but if I’m honest I’d be happier with the equivalent of a Aston Martin Vanquish or Rolls-Royce Wraith fighter. Nothing says elite halo car like a gorgeous V12 touring coupe. One Elmiraj please!

True. Whats a Cadillac without 5 foot long doors?
I’m serious the reason I like having a 2 door vehicle is having a long door, and a b pillar that is well behind your field of vision. It just makes you feel special.
