German publication AutoBILD reports this: Opels marketing head Tina Müller tweetet a vid with Opel boss Karl-Thomas Neumann. In this vid he states (one eye glowing like the Terminator’s) “See Opel with fresh eyes!” and you can see a rim and a GT badge. Neumann himself just bought a classic GT and is believed the driving force behind the new GT.
As we all know Buick and Opel work closely together. So is there a chance for the Avista?

i hope it’s true , as then there’s the possibility of a Holden variant.

Would be great. Hope they do it RWD. Maybe with the 2.0l turbo with 240 hp they once had in the Zafira OPC. Could compete against the Toyobaru twins and the Scirocco from VW.

This will probably replace the Astra GTC. The current OPC got around 280hp so expect 300+ hp for a possible GT OPC.

The GT on the rwd Alpha platform would be perfect. But the chance is very slim.

Buick doesn’t work closely with Opel, Buick is a division of Opel.
