Purple with the gold package!!! At least I had something nice to look at whilst standing in the rain somewhere in Seattle.

I think it needs gold wheels. I hate the look of silver/chrome and gold. Gold all the trim.

The Toyota pedant in me says, “It’s a 3 for the first digit of the paint code, so it’s actually a red.” but Dark Walnut Pearl was 3P5, so somehow that was a red too.
DWP was called “Black Eye Pearl” at my dealership by the sales guys.

I don’t usually favor gold wheels, but I think you’re on to something there. Mixing gold and silver is a no-no. Gotta be all-or-nothing.

Later sc400s had more conservative looking 6-spoke wheels that don’t clash as badly. I know the gold is kind of goofy but to me it’s funny to think about the original owner back in 1992. “This is an incredibly expensive V8 luxury coupe... but how can I spend even MORE money for no gain? Hmm...”

How else would people know how much money you make?

There’s a black one down here on BBS-style wheels for $3k. It’s mighty tempting.

A non-riced SC... Obamanotbad.jpg. How much will that one wholesale for?

Decent ones are still asking for 5k... sometimes more.

Despite being Joker Purple, was that one decent?

Back when these cars were new, I was still pretty young and thought people were doing the gold badges themselves. Always felt they were tacky. Still do.
