That’s an AEV Brute, essentially a JK with $41,000 - $60,000 of bolt-on parts.

And it’s glorious, which is why it’s pictured.
Side note: I was at Logan Airport picking up my brother before Christmas and walked by essentially this exact one in a garage. I took a couple pics but apparently my phone didn’t agree with me.
Loved it.

The Detroit Blade quoted Marchionne saying it will happen.

From the little bit of digging I’ve done, It sounds like it’s really going to happen!
That said, I’ll believe it when I see it. It’ll be based on the next Wrangler and to be honest I’m not a huge fan of the current Wrangler so I’m curious to see how it turns out.

It seems more and more likely that it’s going to happen. As long as they don’t over price it I think it will be a hit (actually, who am I kidding it’s going to be hit even if it’s over priced because Jeep). Ideally I think they should price them ~$3000 more than their wrangler equivalent

It still blows my mind that they can’t put this out in less time. The smaller truck market is (hopefully) about to take off. I wouldn’t think they are at capacity on their current production lines. The aftermarket makes a kit that literally bolts to the current frame. I would think the factory could do it easier.

I just want them to just give an official statement and get it over with. 0 reason why this shouldn’t have happened already.
If they put this out sooner rather than later they would strike gold with having a legitimate small truck with gas being low still and people being interested in smaller trucks.
GOD DAMMIT.

There’s absolutely 0 reason they shouldn’t be able to do this now. 0 reason. I’m right there with you.

I would think it would take an engineer till the end of the week to get everything in place and begin production.

Dammit, you’re right. They may have to work half of Saturday to finalize.
