is anyone running LED h11's for low beams in your factory halogen projectors?

Would using led’s as low beams produce enough output to be considered safe though? I know I have read several comments on BMW saying it wouldn’t, but ya know us BMW people lol.

It’s not actually legal...but I’ve seen it done and it seems to work okay.

I have been looking at these as well and have not yet decided to pull the trigger yet. I am looking at the 9012's for my Ram projector headlights. From most of the reviews I have read from various brands, they work well in projectors, but not reflector headlights. If you do decide to pull the trigger, let the Oppo community know how they are. I do know that Truck Yeah did a review a while back, but it was using reflector housings. Pricing has been coming down, so I might give it a shot in the not too distant future myself.

I tried that exact kit. Looked beautiful, but had worse output than stock.
2007 4runner with halogen projectors.
LED on left, stock Halogen on right. Notice the LED doesn’t have a hotspot in the center, which means that long-range lighting is significantly diminished.
For the time being, a good HID kit is still the way to go.
HID left, H11 right (different angle than before, closer to wall):

Pics don’t work so well down in the greys...
