I’m getting ready to warm the Vic up when I turn the key and nothing happens... My battery cables finally went, but Oh no I’m running late for an eye exam.
So I call my buddy and hesitantly he lets me take the fox body. Hesitantly because I have no traffic experience with driving stick. Wish me luck. It’s going to be a long day.

So far I'm ok, I made it to the eye doctors without drama, I'm more concerned for when I get out and there's lunch traffic.

I drove my aged Land Rover to work today because my Benz has been down all weekend with a broken throttle cable. At first it didn’t want to start, then on the way to work it decided to honk its own horn a bunch of times. The horn that sounds like somebody murdering a mechanical cat and can be easily mistaken for a mechanical failure. Sigh.

Any day that starts out with a surprise drive in a 5spd, 5.0 Fox is a damn good one. When traffic starts moving, just let the car ahead out a few lengths, rev the 5.0, dump the clutch and let them cook. They run better that way.

ur just going to have a sore calf. its not really a big deal, leave extra space so you can coast, one thing I do is if i coast for a bit with the clutch down, i’ll forget it was in gear and just let the clutch out

Should be very easy to replace the cables (I did the ends on mine) when you get the chance, so there’s at least that. Have fun in the mustang!
