Also told me that she will suspend coverage on my pickup when parked, and I just have to tell her when I take it out to haul wood and it’ll be switched back on like a light! Thank God, because that bastard isn’t as cheap as I’d like for something I barely drive. The insurance on the Vibe is actually cheaper.
Car I should have bought when I saw it on for sale last year for your time:

Good idea. Smarter than me. I haven’t even tried getting the E55 I’m looking at quoted, and it’s a thousand miles away! I’m hedging my bets that it won’t be too much more than my E430.

I was going to disagree with you and say that the S on the badge should be a 4, but then I remembered how much of a pain in the ass those are under the hood.

All your Toyota posts are making me want a Celica of that generation like I never have before

The liftback...

I can say from experience that yes, yes they are. But they're so cool.

Oh, yeah. Definitely much better than the notchback version.

Number crunching is where I shine! Would love a [name of oddball car] but not if my overall premium is going to jump significantly. In the simple act of asking they’re offering to suspend the pickup, so win win for me

Wish I had that attitude about it! I can do numbers if I need to but I avoid them as long as possible, occasionally to my detriment.

What are you shopping for?

For some inscrutable reason a V12 XJS will cost me almost $30/month less than my slow, safe 2000 528i.

Why not get Hagerty-Progressive insurance on the Truck? You can classify it as a a vehicle that is still used, so it’s not lying. Costs me like $150 a year to insure the Dodge.

Perhaps the insurance company assumes it will spend half of time off the road in the shop?

Or maybe it’s because I told them it’s a leisure vehicle that I’ll put less than 1000 miles on per year (not a lie, I barely crack 2500 with my dd)
