They should call it the Riveria. A Buick that is a two door luxury coupe with sporting intentions should be called a Riveria. I have strong feelings about this.
A homage to the original.

I see one flaw in the plan:
Ok, two:
Wait, wait...three:
(Sorry to all the E- and G-body fans out there. Ok, kinda not sorry.)

So what you are saying is GM is going to screw it up.

The Riviera had sporting pretentions at some point???

I was going to say I’d rather this become the Regal but I tend to think of the regal as a smaller car and this looks a little bulky so Riviera could be a good fit.

Somehow the engine is gonna turn 90 degrees, and it’s going to become a 2-door LaCrosse.
(Seriously, though, the thing looks great. I just think the name has lost the cache it used to have.)

This is Buick we’re talking about. The production version is going to be nothing more than a big floaty coupe. There’s no reason for Buick to have a sporty model.

Umm yeah I stretched the truth a bit... the only one I have ever driven was a 67 and it was a boat with a massive engine.

Riviera or Riveria?

Maybe but the Riviera was more of a luxury ride with power. GM seems like they want it to be sporty so Skylark seems better with GS and GSX trim levels like Cadillacs Vsport and V.

The skylark would be like a gussied up v6 camaro.

Maybe but the other thing though is the Skylark was never on the F-body (1-4th gen camaro frame). It was with the Chevelle and GTO on the A-body.
