Torch’s recent article about 2 cylinder supercars got me thinking.
I have one of these i bought for $300. It has no engine and a T5 manual. I also have one of these:
That’s a 22 hp air cooled flat twin. My calculations estimate it takes about 15 theroetical HP to push the car at 60mph. It wont be fast, just weird. What does the collective mind think?

I love these style houses.

Do it. I double doggie dare you. But be sure to film the whole thing. I wouldn’t miss a minute of this disaster adventure.
If it works, I bet you could arrange a Jason Drives Christmas special.

I am now seriously considering it.

Why not source two junked Suzuki DR800's and strap the engines together? 1600cc double-thumper. You’d shake the car apart.

Needs a turbo from a junkyard semi.

That would be cool. Sadly, wrecked bikes are hard to come by here.

I have a used turbo from a 2.7 audi.

accelerate it up to 60mph or maintain 60mph?

Wrong car, Mr Badger. Find a Beetle with a clapped-out motor for your frankencar.

Works too.

I have a clapped out super beetle but it still runs.

Im almost convinced. If Torch himself chimes in i will offically promise to tackle the install in the spring.

Maintain. The acceleration is worrying me a bit.

Me too... they’d be incredibly out of place and inappropriate in my part of Canada though :p

Some old 500cc two-stroke dirt bikes would probably be a lot easier to come by. And arguably even sketchier.

Yes. And then have a Regular car review.

Mmmm 2 stroke.

Works too.
Well it’s off of a 2.7 Audi, so no it doesn’t

I would say go for it!!! Are you intending to make it street-legal, because that would be the most LeMons non-Lemons thing ever. That being said....if you do....lighten the shit out of it first....
Maybe keep the front seats for the lawls, but everything else unimportant, strip out for extra lightness to help those two little cylinders on their way! :P
