This has taken longer than I thought it would.

Already?
What’s in there?

Just saw it on facebook.

But why

V8.

I knew that, but my fault for not asking a more precise question: what kind of V8 is it in there? Is this an LS? (Can people tell it's an LS just by looking at this picture?)

Looks like an LS to me. You can tell by the heads. But I wouldn't know what series it is or if it's a custom LSX setup.

They’re just fooling around right now to get an idea of it. Everything will be designed digitally before they actually start doing it for real. Typically they could go up to the 6.2 motors but the 7.0 motors were too tall.

Would hoon.

It’s not exactly an engine. It’s a plastic mockup version of LS1.

Ahh, but the real question is why not?

6.2’s will make plenty of power of these little cars. Do they have any numbers on what the weight penalty will be?

Ah okay, I guess this just a test fitting. Looks good so far...

Yes.

I wonder what the transmission options will end up being.

I’m guessing it’s FlyinMiata doing the build? And if that’s the case it’s the V8 from a recent model Camaro. When the ND came out they got 2. 1 to keep stock and see how things worked out. The other was to test new parts on and eventually stuff a V8 into.
