Some of you know I call Grand Rapids MI home. My family has a cottage on Big Pine Island Lake, across the road from Grattan Township / Raceway northeast of GR, a tight road course known to host manufacturers and magazines regularly.
I grew up listening to upshifts and downshifts echoeing across the lake weekends every summer. Yep. For a good while when I was young I thought ‘taxed out engines’ was a common background noise.
Anyway, I made a last lake lap with my old SeaDoos to winterize them last weekend and as I was leaving the launch area and driving by the raceway Sunday evening I caught a monster Ford Motorsports hauler entering Grattan Raceway. Late Sunday.
Any speculation from my fellow Jalops on what Ford is doing there this week?

When I was with Chrysler we used that track for testing police vehicles (they have upgraded brakes and tires), and developing Sport mode on cars. I know the SRT guys preferred Gingerman raceway though.

Probably. Gingerman is a little faster.
Car and Driver has been to Grattan quite a few times. Most notably Viper vs Vette brawls.....

They have 1 last motorcycle weekend of Oct 10th I might be at.
