DD the Westminster, Track the Lancia, and acid the Pug.

Not an obvious choice, but not an unwise one. Passed.

Neither did I, but the common thread (aka THEY ALL LOOK FOOKIN’ THE SAME) is that they’re Pininfarina designs for small family cars that came out around the same time. Lancia Flaminia, Austin Westminster, and Peugeot 404.

DD Pug so I have an excuse to not go to work if it breaks, and so its Frenchness will alleviate boredom.

Track Flaminia.

Dip Austin in acid long enough to reduce weight substantially, track it too. (The Smokey Yunick gambit)

There’s no way in hell I’m not tracking the 404 :-)

Kinja'd!!!

That leaves the more lavishly appointed Lancia as DD.

Kinja'd!!!

I don’t even know what a Westminster is, so screw that.

Lol but seriously, I did get that one wrong. It’s just that for some reason Pininfarina styling of the era looks small and I misread something. The Nash is absolutely huge, though - like a half meter longer.

Neither the Lancia nor the Austin are particularly small. One of them also cost more than a Mercedes and the other got a Rolls-Royce engine in a later model.

What if I told you that a variation of the Westminster had a 4.0 Rolls-Royce straight six out of some kind of military truck thing ?

DD the Lancia. Probably the nicest of the bunch.
Track the Peugeot. Probably the sturdiest of the lot with the biggest parts supply.

Drop the the British boat in metal eating acid. I doubt there’s a lot of metal left in a British car after that much time, so it won’t do much damage anyway.

DD- Peugeot because it’s simpler than the Lancia but more comfortable than the Austin.

Track- Lancia because it’s more powerful and bound to rev higher and handle best. With such low power, its FWD traction would serve it well.

Acid- Austin because it’s too dull, agricultural, unreliable, and slow to do anything well compared to the Pug and Lancia.

You’d be wrong. You’re thinking of the Vanden Plas Princess 4-Litre R. While based on the Westminster platform, it had a much sleeker tail and was finished much better.

Haha! I confused the drive wheels with the Flavia. And apparently the V6 doesn't rev particularly high

Yours is a Fiat Multipla. What do you?

And the VDP P4LR was finished better than the Westminster. It cost half again as much as the 3L version. It was supposed to form the basis of the Bentley Java.
