The Rules: Must have one vehicle designated specifically for the following categories— mountains, water, snow, sand, and pavement. Must be more than 25 years old. Must be weird.

1. Mountains

Pinzgauer 6x6 because I went zip-lining this weekend and they took us up in one. I must have one now...

2. Water

Amphicar, because Amphicar.

3. Snow

Any Old Tractor Half-track, because half-track.

4. Sand

Meyers Manx, no explanation necessary.

5. Road

Maserati Merak because it had these buttresses long before the new Ford GT.

Not really. Nobody said they had to work, though.

That Merak is designed as a road car, therefore it fits the criteria. A dogsled is designed for snow, so it too fits. The Merak will spend its time broken down, which puts it in the same boat as a dog-less sled.

Other than being generally ex-mil, I dont’ know that there was much of a theme. There’s generally an ex-mil answer for specific off-road situations, but on-road? Wait, wait, I got this. Ike’s staff car garage.
