Buy her a used Leaf. The’re only $10,000 for a low miles 3 year old specimen. She will feel all warm and green for a while. You can then go buy what you want for yourself with an unburdened conscience. In fact your family will be so green your almost obligated to go buy some fuel thirsty CO2 pumping performance machine just to have a reasonable family balance. Of course she’ll lose the green affection after the range anxiety sets in and when she forgets to plug it on a few nights, but by then you’ll have the car of your choosing.
