You’ve no idea what it feels like to live during and after ‘Nando a volcano blows up.

It screws with your brain, particularly the bits that deal with magnitude and despair and somesuch. Not to mention the ash. Fucking god, the ash. If Mayon (another, more well-known, and more pissed-off volcano in the Bicol region here in the Philippines) blows up today in the same way Pinatubo (whose eruption is seen in that photo) did in ‘91, I’ll be burnt, ashen toast with my family in less than 24 hours.

Sure, it’s just a joke, and I laughed hard at it, but a volcanic eruption deals more damage than Dieselgate in a matter of seconds, and bouncing back would take much more time, now that I think about it.

You’re right, Volcanoes are much worse to the environment and our health, yet for some inexplicable reason the EPA hasn’t banned sales of them.

Yeah volcanoes are scary shit. I went to visit my hometown after a long time (8 years) and the local volcano which is lets say 50 miles from where my parents live, had the largest eruption in 50 years. In fact it destroyed part of itself in the process, creating a whole on the side of it which was spouting lava up to 100 ft high. Multiple nearby towns had to be evacuated, the ash covered all nearby cities, here’s a pic of the actual aftermath:
