I went to King 5’s live traffic coverage of all the road closures due to President Xi’s visit to Seattle (the link literally said “Live Coverage: President Xi to Everett”), but it turns out they’re just looping previous “live” video of Orcas in Puget Sound. Anyway, it’s still pretty cool video that was once live. I think !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! will work if you want to see some “live” aerial footage of Orcas from Chopper 5. (Sorry, it’s not CHOPPER 4!)

I was just supposed to run around do some inspections yesterday and today and decided “fuck it” there is no way I am getting around all these closures on the East and West side. I’ll just post up in my office and read Oppo.

Do you expect to see history on the History Channel?

I’m deciding what time to leave the office. I have to head from Bellevue to Des Moines for a family thing. I would like to leave before President Xi leaves Microsoft. I’m scouting traffic info.

Good point. Do they have the traffic by chance?

Do they have the traffic by change?
You know what; I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. But you might have better luck @ MTV...

You might be able to go up through Factoria and Newcastle and work your way down.

It appears I’m too late to beat the motorcade. The news reports that 405 from 520 to southcenter is closed, and that I5 from SC to Tacoma is closed. I should have left 45 minutes ago. I might end up taking I90 to Seattle and head up the hill through Burien onto Des Moines.

Good luck! It’s ugly out there.
