Visiting family in Asheville, NC when one of these rolled through Biltmore Village and into the Forest (a well-to-do village on the south side of town). Good lord it looked good. Had Antique Car tags, so I’m assuming it wasn’t a replica, since I was too far away to take a look.
You forget how small these things were until you see it next to a recent Highlander.

Slightly off-topic, but I’ve toured Biltmore Estate, and it is hella cool.

I’ve seen that one, probably. Not close enough to see the antique tags and confirm it. When I saw it it was at the Jupiter/Barnardsville exit north of Weaverville. Then again, I think there was a replica place somewhere in WNC at one point.

Olthoff racing is near Moorseville.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think all genuine GT40’s left factory with dark color interior. I think this is probably an older replica (if replicas can get antique tags in your state).

Here in Virginia kit cars are titled for the year they’re supposed to be, so most kit cobra, for example, have historic plated even if they were built a couple years ago

They are crazy small. When I got to look around the #9 GT40 MkIV. (Not my photo, mine was on my phone)
It was at the Vintage Invitational at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I talked to the driver for about 15 minutes. Turned out he drove one of the Silk Cut Jaguars with Davy Jones at Le Mans back in the day. Super cool dude. Very humble.

Sorry, should have specified: not a pic of the actual car. Ripped off Barrett Jackson website. No idea what the interior was. Could barely make out the driver. Right color exterior though

Amazing what you can do with enough raw materials, cheap labor and a massive amount of cash.

Wow. How did I not know about these guys? I grew up in AVL.
The car was a short-tail definitely. Not that different from the one below (which is on the Olthoff Site ) I will say, I don’t remember the side-scoops being quite as pronounced as the Olthoff cars seem to be.
