Behold the power of a bad reputation. IE11 isn't bad at all other than the looks (ugh!). I find it's usually faster than chrome or firefox.

Too bad most IE are installed on work computers, and most workplaces are 3-4 generations behind on security and support. At least that’s been my experience at 5 different companies now. The newest IE is usually good, but relatively few people get to use it.

It’s not just reputation, my wife HATES making websites for IE, as it always requires tweaking to get it working if it works in chrome or firefox.

True, but the sad thing is most people just refuse to use it at all, even when they can, based on its reputation. Which was my point. Good reputations are easy to lose, bad ones stick.

I don't use it much myself because I don't like the feel, but if I need extra speed that's where I go.

^THIS!

Guys on my team: Works fine in Chrome and FF, but this isn’t working in IE.

Me: Make it work in IE first and then guess what? You don’t have to ‘make it work’ in Chrome and FF. TADA!!!!!

Guys on my team: =/

Maybe from a development point of view, but on my end, IE11 is the fastest way to go.

It’s purely because people tend to run very few extensions on IE. if you run naked chrome, firefox or opera next to naked IE you will find that they are faster.

I can’t wait for meme images about Edge to show up, with him being the cool younger brother to IE.
