A Fiat. Rear engine like the 500 and 600. That’s the bog standard one, there were coupés too.

Where do you keep on finding these cars I don’t know about?

So basically, I need it.

Well, this one is easy to explain. My dad used to own these. Both the normal “saloon” as the coupé. That one is even more awesome.

And me myself have a FIAT Dino Coupé so I know quite some things about the brand.

Oh, and the actual location of the opening picture is in the Musee dell’Automobili di Torino I went this summer so that’s actually where I found it if that’s what you’re after ;-)

I tried to Google the picture and even added fiat as a term. But if it’s a Jobjoris original I’d never find it.

If they didn’t use salt on the roads in the winter here, I’d consider a classic for my day to day driving, because I can only afford one car a GTI does the job. Can these older fiats be made to be reasonably reliable?

They rust. Like hell. If maintained properly there’s nothing wrong with these when it comes to technical reliability. There’s a reason you still run into these on every street-corner in Italy. I did a small post about this (amongst other Italian car-culture facts, or rather, my theory) on LaLD .

To an extent, I’m not asking for 500 miles a week more like 50.

Until recently I had an mx5 and in one winter the salt on my commute ate through my underseal that I had put on before winter and then through the extra I put on top.

Same here. Got that “feeling” with those Dinos as well! Just more masculine.

Another great car. I’ve had an opportunity to buy a few and never done it. They’re expensive now, too. And they’ve gotten hard to find here although they were never really plentiful.

Thanks. This one is near me. Ready to roll. Want me to check it out for ya? Dollar-Euro is good for importing these right now.

I could find non-running examples for much, much less if you want it.
