Okay guys, the last one for tonight is New York, at the request of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ! Tommorow, I’ll get started on New Joysee, Washington, Northwest Territories (not as a part of this series), Alabama, and Pennsylvania! Thanks for all the feedback! I’m working on a feasible plan for making these physically available to you all as a novelty item. Most likely, they would run $15 to $20 USD a pop; you would be able to make your own vanity plate (8 character max), choose your own county seal (so long as I can find a picture), and choose the color and year for your renewal sticker. Suggestions and requests are welcome, but if you see that someone has already requested the state you want or suggested a change you like, please upvote it rather than re-requesting/suggesting it. YAAAAAS! I assure you, if you made these I’d buy one for my cubicle the same day. Although I’d prefer the California plate to be blue lettering without the bear image. Then maybe move the registration stickers to the left so it’s more like a Euro plate.

I’m really digging this series. As for trying to make these a manufacturable piece, maybe resin might be cheaper than metal? Unfortunately I don’t know who you would contact about that, but I think about those plastic dealer tags people keep on the front plate mount when they don’t have a front tag. That would have to be cheaper than metal you would think.

Question about the NY Plate. What made you go with black and white? I thought NY’s current tags are gold and blue? Is that what you are basing these tags off of? Or basing off of the state flag and not the current license plate design?

First - the manufacturing: I’ve found .040 ga. aluminum euro plate blanks for $4.50 apiece. I’d say that’s a pretty reasonable price as I want these to be really high quality items. And as for applying the design to the metal, I might have a connection I can use there.

Second - the design - the person who req’d New York said not to do bule and gold. Also, NY’s flag wasn’t gonna be super great for a design, so I just kinda did my own thing there.
