I have a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and the door-holding-open device doesn’t. It’s pretty annoying. I inserted a shim behind the neoprene and maybe that helped a little. Any ideas?
PS: Is that the crack price?

Stick a finger or two in the door hinge.

$2,300 would be fair IMO, no offense.

It’s a door check. Order a new one from dealer. Should be around $30.
The one on my wife's car is popping super loud. I have that to replace next.

Kind of what I was thinking...

Thank you; I had no idea what to call that. Nor any idea how it might be installed...

Usually 2 bolts onto the door and a pin on the chassis. Door panel removal is usually required.

I need to replace the door lock actuator on my car, because the door won’t open!

Drop them off and I’ll give it a try.

Looks to me like it’s part of the hinge. You can see the shim that I put behind the neoprene. Do you think the neoprene just got squishy?

I was hoping someone might call me and want to negotiate. Instead, just scammers.

They usually aren’t serviceable. It looks like it’s built into your hinge. They do wear out. If the rear door is same, just swap them out.
That photos is the kind I have on my jeep and wife's Equinox.

It never occurred to me to see if the front and rear doors had the same hinges. Thanks for the tip.

If I were buying a Ford, I like the Fusion. This one is the 5th car in my livery. I bought it from a municipal auction thinking to turn it around, but I’ve had zero inquiries. Time to lower the asking price...
