I don’t come here to talk people out of things. I come here to say things like, “Do it! Do it now!” So...
Do it! Do it now!

Rust? Rust.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:37 |

No, I refuse.

It’s named after a condom.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:39 |

Don’t do it.
Happy to help.

Looks a pic, sees HEMI badge, can’t talk you out of it sorry.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:42 |

I will definitely be the voice of reason here for all the Oppo people infatuated by this car and try to talk you out of this.
BECAUSE AN SRT8 MAGNUM IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE GETTING. POWWWUHHHR
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:43 |
|
For 5k what do you have to lose?
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:44 |
|
I can’t because that’s one of the cleanest used Magnums I’ve ever seen, even with the mileage it has.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:44 |
|
Did not see any in the pics. And with 228k (just like my 242k Camry) I think it spent too much time driving for any salt to stay attached.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:44 |
|
The one I use, how fitting.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:44 |

Thanks. Every little bit helps.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:44 |

Provided everything works (and it looks like it could) I can’t talk you out of something that looks that good after that many miles. Buy it, put a manual in it (it’s been done) and have a happy life.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:45 |
|
Find me one for $4K and we’ll talk.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:45 |
|
It’s SOOOO CLEEEEAAAAN. I wanna go see it just to see it.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:46 |
|
It’s automatic and no way gets 30 mpg. Your other post said it needed to have a manual and get 30 mpg. That is two strikes. Since you get three it looks like you’re OK.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:46 |
|
Even the cargo area looks untouched. It’s a miracle.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:46 |
|
Weren’t you saying you wanted something with decent gas mileage? Aren't those rated in Stations Per Gallon?
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:46 |
|
Depends on how much anything it needs in the near future will cost.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:47 |

EPA 25mpg highway. Maybe I can keep my foot out of it and..... nah, who am I kidding
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:47 |
|
I’m in class so I didn't click on the link. But damn 4k. Don't let anyone tell you nox
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:48 |
|
Never offered with a manual so I’m okay with that.
25 is closer to 30 and I bet I could hypermile it.. where’s my cardboard and duct tape?
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:49 |
|
It looks like it has TWENTY thousand on it, not TWO HUNDRED and twenty.... the driver’s seat and cargo area look like new.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:53 |

I was looking at these before I picked up my IS300. Talking to a co-worker who rented one thinking it had more room than his 2009 Charger, he confirmed that it is actually more cramped inside than the Charger.
Also, he felt that the 5.7L Hemi doesn’t move the car as well as it should, so if you can find one, go for the SRT.
Full Disclosure - Guy owns an SRT Challenger now and enjoys the 400+ hp.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:53 |

As long as you dont mind the plastic fantastic interior they are great cars.
We almost bought one new but even then the interior was sketchy
Maybe the HEMI makes up for it though
![]() 09/22/2015 at 14:56 |

My Hemi Grand Cherokee with half the miles that has been reasonably well maintained has random glitches that require periodic attention. I’ve replaced the EGR, spark plugs, all four O2 sensors, and will likely need a new throttle position sensor.
Also, it gets 12 mpg.

Buy a Malibu Maxx SS instead.

It's sold. Was that you? It needs to be you.

I can’t hear the interior over BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAp
![]() 09/22/2015 at 15:09 |

Nah, I would’t travel across the pond.

#Looks at pic sees 6 side windows#
YOU LIED TO US!!!!!! You are the VW of... of... whatever. Besides what happened to the 4-window mystery machine?
![]() 09/22/2015 at 15:13 |
|
How is it so clean? Did they replace the interior from a donor car or something?
at this point it might be worth it to buy it and immediately start looking for a wrecked one (rear end damage haha) to buy a backup engine/trans from for the future.
It’s shockingly clean inside.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 15:38 |

Too many miles dude. All the nopes
![]() 09/22/2015 at 15:44 |

I was gonna say to run, but then I looked at the carfax. DAMN!!! The last owner took really good car of this thing, getting it serviced at the selling dealer every 4-5,000 miles. If it is in as good of shape as it is in the pictures, I’d say go for it.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 15:58 |

Its tempting.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 15:59 |

“But it’s all HIGHWAY miles. I know what I have”
![]() 09/22/2015 at 15:59 |
|
My thoughts as well. I don’t even see a butt print on the driver’s seat.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:01 |

I took a ‘09 xB home last night that had too much rust and filth to consider paying nearly $8k for.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:07 |
|
I don’t know, if you can pay that little, and rip a RWD V8 burnout on the way home, it seems 100% justified. mpg be damned. (actually this one might have the MDS cylinders? might not be that bad)

Rated 25 highway. I could maybe eek out a few more if needed.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:27 |
|
that’s right in the sweet spot.
now get off OPPO and go buy the damn thing!
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:33 |
|
Nah, found a Kia with 56k on it. I think that’s a better deal. :D
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:35 |
|
exactly!
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:35 |
|
I feel like it wouldn’t be a bad idea to go see it. For posterity. I mean, when are you ever going to see another one that clean ever again? Never. That’s when.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:36 |
|
Does it say Kia on it?
Then it’s not as good of a deal as the magnum haha
If you want to go cheap and don’t mind transporting, my family is selling a 1994 Grand Marquis with only 65k miles on it. It’s in impeccable shape. My grandpa bought it brand new and my dad (master mechanic) maintained it it’s whole life. I could probably get them to drop to 2,000, they’re asking 2,500 for it.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:36 |
|
Don’t forget these things are a dime a dozen and honestly parts are plentiful.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:41 |
|
True. But I need a reliable DD that’s not going to cost me anything other than the purchase price and gas. Oh and insurance. That’s... important.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:41 |
|
I want to touch it.
![]() 09/22/2015 at 16:41 |

Do they take Mastercard?

Nope :(

Crowd source repairs? Oppo sharing is caring program?
![]() 09/22/2015 at 20:50 |

OK but no Werting.
![]() 09/23/2015 at 05:33 |
|
They probably have a similar interior quality. Whenever I sit in a Magnum (my FIL owns one) I snicker a bit. Another thing that strikes me is that while I’m tall and of average weight the seats seem to be designed for someone twice as heavy and wide as I am.
Having said that, I do like the engine and the one you linked to does seem very clean.
![]() 09/23/2015 at 07:46 |
|
what could go wrong?
![]() 09/23/2015 at 09:05 |
|
If it were me, I’d try and work something out for ya, but it’s my parents down in SC selling.
Sorry pal.
![]() 09/23/2015 at 10:20 |
|
That’s fine, I have lots of options available to me.
![]() 09/23/2015 at 10:47 |
|
ehmm... don’t do it?
No seriously buy the shit out of this thing, it’s ridiculously clean.
just be sure the transmission doesn’t slip (they tend to go bad) but otherwise they are pretty much perfect cars (I might be biased, I had mine for the last 7 years without any troubles).
![]() 09/23/2015 at 10:50 |
|
Like the magnum...
![]() 09/23/2015 at 10:56 |

It’s pre-bailout pre-Fiat Chrysler. Reliability issues anyone?
And the posting has been deleted, so there you go.
![]() 09/23/2015 at 11:01 |
|
LOLO
![]() 09/23/2015 at 11:02 |
|
Someone on Oppo probably bought it. Lucky bastard.
![]() 09/23/2015 at 11:14 |

If you want Chrysler, I’d say go 2010 or newer if that’s in budget.
![]() 09/23/2015 at 11:18 |

I don’t. But I did find a few Calibers and Patriot/Compasssess in my budget with a stick.
