VW is a global powerhouse. This is just a small problem, that is going to allow savy investors to make a tidy little profit. Granted I have no idea where the bottom is but a 50% drop is about the time I start going “yea, its worth it.” I’d love to see the evaluation of the stock over the next year or two, as I’m sure it will return to the 200’s

This is not big enough to shut down VW in the long term. It all depends what the resolution is. The reality is that this doesn’t affect their customers too much, and whatever the result is it’s only money. Will this hurt their bottom line and reputation? Yup. But it will also recover eventually. They will probably eventually replace much of the upper management and people will forget.
