Decided to try my hand at light-painting. I am a pretty bad photographer and borrowed my girlfriends Nikon D3200, a tripod and my phone’s flash light. I don’t know how to photoshop, so these are as is. What do you think?

I’m not a pro, but I’m better than some pros. These are great photos, but you asked for feedback, so here it comes.
Some post processing is in order. Adjust your white balance so that you eliminate the yellow cast. Wash your car; the bonnet looks dusty (or is it condensation?). Turn up the contrast to make the lighting standout more and cut out the background; the barely visible background adds nothing to the picture. Your focus is a little off in the first photo. A little light higher up would have created the arc of the A and C pillars and roof line.
Also, use apostrophes and capitalize Photoshop. :)

Looks cool, especially the #3. That one almost looks like a magazine spread or press shot.

I prefer to use more linear motions when lighting with a small light source so that the shapes you’re ‘drawing’ aren’t so pronounced and the focus is still on the subject. But you can definitely get creative with it to add a bit of artistic flair to some images.

I used the edge lighting style when using light painting and it looked pretty sharp. So pretty much choose an angle and walk across the picture (usually behind the target or behind the camera) and it creates almost like a speed effect. Idk only used it once really tho, I miss my DSLR
