I don’t understand that. I have a friend who just turned 16, but instead of asking for a car or a permit for his birthday, he asked for a golf cart. Major facepalm.

My parents have already agreed to take me to the DMV on my 16th birthday to get my permit.

It will be worth the wait bud! :) It will be also worth the wait once you get your first car...I can still clearly remember the moment I was sitting in the driver’s seat of ‘Beastie’, my old 2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5TS and it finally “clicked” that this is MY car...my responsibility, my escape, my freedom, my fun . Enjoy the ride...figuratively and literally! ;) :P

Doesn’t matter what you end up with...beater Corolla, abused Minivan, just enjoy having your own wheels when the time comes!

I still miss my first car immensely...had her for 5 years and 70,000kms! :)

Long live the Blob Eye! That car looks awesome, especially in green as a wagon. 99% chance my first car will be my mom’s ‘09 Odyessey, but I still like it and can't wait to drive it!
