Any redblock guys here? What gas mileage do you usually get? My 93 940t gets maybe 18 on Highway with cruise on. It’s using almost a 1/4 tank with daily usage

My 79 242dl got 23 mpg at 75mph, but that’s a n/a 2.1 at 4,000 rpm (4-speed with 55 mph gearing). Do you live in fairly hilly areas? The ecoboost trucks have mystical mpg numbers, as in nobody can get the claimed mpg cause their foot is in it on hills to maintain speed instead of letting it bleed off just a little. It’s hard to keep the foot out of the turbo car when it’s on the slight heavy side.

Have you done a good, solid Stage 0 on it, yet? I ask, because my old turbo 740 wagon would get consistent mid-20s on the highway, even with a 15G, chips and browntops.

Im in the process of doing that. I’ve changed the old worn out plugs and seafoamed it as of far. I want to clean the mass air flow sensor and maybe clean the throttle body and IACV

Hmm I live in Columbus OH, so not many hills but I can feel the cars weight even though it’s listed asince 3100 for the wagon but I think that’s wrong

Change the oxygen sensor. My 745 with LH 2.4 (same as your car) went from 19 to 25 highway by doing that.

My 242 was 2,900. Two-door sedan. I went over to fuelly.com to see what others say they get. Interesting.
