Please tell me this isn't factory.

Considering it is GM, nothing would surprise me.

I’m certain it isn’t.

Those are awful. Whats worse though, theres a 5th gen SS(factory 4 piston Brembos all around) in my area with those things on top of stock brakes.

There is a guy around me who has these on his murdered out “Nismo” Maxima. He now also has a tuned Ecoboost Mustang and thinks he can beat anybody in a drag race.
I hate those kind of people.

This is just like the “GT,” “R-Type,” “M,” and what-have-you badges slapped onto the economy version of those cars (or not even the same car at all, as the owner of the Escalade GT-R I once spotted did).
Who do they think they’re fooling? Those of us who would care about things like huge red-painted calipers aren’t going to be impressed by this, and the rest of the people couldn’t care less even if they were real. I only hope that the owners of these cars derive some personal satisfaction from this sort of thing, ‘cause no one else is.

No you can get these sily red covers on ebay. and the funniest is they usually not super cheap. like 35 bucks.

Affirmative.

That just made me incredibly sad...

are those actually steel, or do they just look like it?
![]() 09/18/2015 at 09:45 |

I didn’t touch them, but I’m pretty sure they’re a plastic of some form.

Some people just can leave well enough alone. Like the people that replace the nice stock headunits with shitty $50 Walmart pieces.

Surprise!

oh I meant the wheels, not the brake cover things.
![]() 09/18/2015 at 10:47 |

Oh! Yes, those are factory. Steelies with a silver rim and black painted center.
![]() 09/18/2015 at 10:58 |

but my factory head unit didn’t have an AUX jack.

These can look decent on the right car. A buddy of mine has a MOPAR 11 Edition Dodge Charger and wants to get the MOPAR ones for it. I thought it was stupid at first, but I saw a few pics online and they actually arent’ too bad looking on that car.

No, no... the wheels I’m fine with.
Look at the brake caliper, the fake red “big brake upgrade”...
THAT shit, right there... ugh. I don’t understand why people do that.

Yea, that’s exactly what I’m talking about, lol. He wants to get the MOPAR brake caliper covers. They’re MOPAR blue and say MOPAR on them. Here’s what I mean:
But on this car:
Here’s the only pic I could find of his car with them on.
