You should look into a metal detector if this sort of thing interests you. Great hobby.

Apparently these were only sold in 1971. Might be somewhat rare.

Neat. I’m gonna hold on to it. Probably use a toothbrush to clean up the mud. I like how it’s all metal. “050” is stamped in one of the fender wells

I have one, too! If you want, I could probably find time to go over there and help find stuff.

http://texashwcollectors.org/hwguide/what4.… The red one is worth over $100 in good condition. This one here is probably like 5 bucks on a very good day, but still awesome to have the second-rarest color!

I would hold on to it too, finding cool old stuff in your yard isn’t (probably) a daily occurence. According to this the red ones are well over $100 in mint condition so yeah, it probably is rare.

Yeah. I’ve found a few old green army men and parts of toys. Not sure if they’re from the 70s like the car or just leftovers from some point in the past 40 years.

My grandparents had a box of toys that were my dad’s and his brothers’ when they were kids that included old HotWheels and original Star Wars toys. We played with them constantly. No idea where they are now. Probably sold in the garage sale when my grandmother moved.

The Star Wars toys included Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Boba Fett among others. The Boba Fett you could look through his helmet like a scope.

Just goes to show what is one person’s toy is another’s treasure.

Cool! I’m actually going to be out of work for a while in October, so that could work out perfectly.
