The Thunderbirds are currently flying around base in preparation for tomorrow. Pretty cool seeing them fly past my office a few dozen times a day. I’m hoping to see some neat stuff.

I saw them last night. Plane was heading straight. HARD RIGHT. Then straight. Then 2-3 more did the same thing, I figured someone was in town.

I may go on Saturday, not sure yet.

I’m also going to an airshow this weekend... in the Czech Republic.
Greek F-16 demo, Royal Navy Lynx display, SAAB Gripen, Viggen, Draken, Tunnan, MiG-29 demo, US Apache demo, etc. And these guys...

Even better. Gov’t air shows are free. Or at least they should be. There was one in Ft. Worth last weekend that was upwards of $30 for admission.

Does the possibility of your fiery death ever affect your decision to attend an air show?

I miss airshows. We used to have a BIG one at Kirtland AFB every 4th of July since the late ‘80s, but that was canceled a few years back and now nothing to replace it since even the CAF B-17s and B-24s haven’t stopped in NM. Have a great time and take tons of pictures if you can :)

Oh. I won’t actually be there - I work on base and was hoping to hang outside my office trailer and catch some cool stuff flying around.

The admission to the Airshow was free it was the parking that was $30+ depending on how close you want. Alliance has always charged for parking now granted it has gone up in the past few years. I was willing to pay $30 for my entire family (6 people) to watch the F-22 demo and Blue Angels is not a bad price. Also the JSOH at Andrews is awesome!

That sounds right. It’s been a number of years since I went to the Alliance show. I wish I had gone this year. It was the first beautiful weather in months.
