How’s Emma btw? Haven’t been keeping up.

Good luck! Are you willing to say what kind of jobs these are? or do you not want to jinx it?

Just internships

Pretty darn well, actually. She’s running better than ever after extensive head work, a cooling system overhaul, and a mega needed tune up. It will light the rear tires right up, now.

Thanks!

Nice! Have you had it on a dyno? I know you had her re-painted and had applied the Screaming Chicken. Have a nice high rez pic you can drop?
If there was an Oppo of the Year Award, my vote would go to you for your perseverance on Emma’s rebuild combined with limited means.
If you haven’t already, you really should do a start to finish story about Emma. Can offer editing help if you like, even though you’re already a decent writer - but such pieces need more polishing. It’s something that might make the FP, too.
Getting on the front page is always a thrill.

Haha, you’re seriously way too kind! I’ve been meaning to get it out to a nice spot and take some photos, but school and the fact that I don’t like the alignment on my hood have prevented me from doing that. As such, I haven’t posted much, but this links still has the most updated stuff. http://oppositelock.kinja.com/tag/emma I’m going to do a dyno day with my university’s car club later this year.

The alignment of the chicken? (nowhere else on the Internet would that sentence make any sense) Ugh, does it need to be re-applied?
But yes, do get some pics when you get the chance. I’ve seen your photos before, I seem to recall either you or somebody you know (your dad?) has a digi SLR and a good eye, so the photos would be worthy.
A thousand words are only as good as one picture, so they say, but if you feel inclined to prepare a rebuild writeup, write up a draft and send it to marshal dot dunnik at gmail dot com and I’ll help you polish it up. Can then tweet maybe Micheal Balban or that new editor whose name I forget and prod them into publishing (under your name, just give me a shout-out in the credits) it on the FP.
Jalopnik could use a classic rebuild tale, I think, what with all these reviews of the Jeep Compass and its ilk.

Nah, the actual hood. My original hood hinges are going bad. I was given a brand new set as a gift, I just haven’t gotten around to installing them and realigning the hood. All I’ve got my relatively cheap Canon T3 and some passion but so far that has served me well. I’ve already got the spot picked out to do some glamor shots. Haha, thanks!

Oh, whew. Well that’s an easy fix.
Fall, come to think of it, would be the best time of year to shoot a black and gold sports car. Trees in the background are your friends.
