I have a pretty warped sense of humor but I think this is a little too much for a website about cars.

True. That’s why I didn’t post it on a site about cars

Oppo is an off-topic forum where most people post about cars. And just about anything else.

They totally ripped off my high school’s motto... we’re going to sue I tell you! SUE!
Not sure why my High school uses this motto now that I think about it... ¯\_()_/¯

Escaping Syria, in a kayak, and remembering to bring his favorite fishing pole. Got it.

It means “In this sign you will conquer.” As in the sign of the Cross. You know, like the Crusades and stuff, though the motto appeared in a vision (in Greek) to Constantine I, the first Roman Emperor to convert to Christianity. So if you hate Muslims, and want to kill them all in the name of Christ, it’s a great motto.

I know what it means. Which now that I think of it is super weird because my school was neither military nor religious based so... weird choice of motto.

If it didn’t have a religious affiliation, why were there two crosses on the coat of arms?

“Academic, sporting and cultural aspects of school life were catered for but Mr Barton felt the spiritual needs of the students should be met. Fund raising began for a chapel and the Dudley Barton Sanctuary was opened in 1977, dedicated by the Bishop of Natal. Despite being a public school, Kloof High retains its Christian ethos, but accommodates pupils of all religions.”
Huh, today I learned...
