She got me a high-speed NASCAR ride-along at Talladega for my birthday Saturday. I’m pretty psyched because even though I won’t be driving (liability concerns, extra insurance required, etc), I’ll get to go higher speeds than the “drive yourself” events will allow. Plus it’s a lot cheaper and I won’t have the opportunity to look like a total puss on the high banks.
Anyone done it before? I know it’s not the Porsche Driving School at Barber (starts at $1,500/day...), but still fun?

I’m sure it’ll be pretty fun. It’s like a rollercoaster, but you could actually die. So there’s that.

Someone died on a rollercoaster on the first day of the NY State Fair this year, so...
