the time is classified, but somewhere above glacial... got a bit behind on my training by tweaking a knee, which held up fine until mile 5.8...

I never said anything about ‘racing’... Ha. 10k is the shortest run on this race, I can train up to it but it ain’t pretty. The wife like 1/2’s but ran the 10k for this race. The little sandbagger- she won her age division.

Ha ha I'm just in high school, I bet I couldn't even run a 10k. But the good thing is is that The Oatmeal is still extremely funny

my wife got 2nd in her age division. She thought the girl ahead of her was a lot older so she didn’t push to get ahead and ended up 4 seconds out of 1st. I added about 2 minutes to my time with the 2 girls in the jogger (+~70lbs all together 28lbs per child plus 10-15 for the jogger)

I started back a bit and did a mellow pace running with friends the first mile, which was smart w the knee. My splits were 9:50-ish. And ha yes. She was running 8-min splits.

right!?! thats what I told her. There was a dude infront of me about 2.5 miles in when i passed him. his legs were the size of my waste. He took 1 look at me and probably thought in his head i aint lettin this kid with two little girls beat me and took the lead again. At the last second I blasted past him. There are finish line pics and you can see in his face he is PISSED.
