Seriously one the best things about this work machine. 18 gallon tank, 25.67 miles per gallon. But my personal vehicle has awful range. How about you?

I can do 350 miles on a tank if i strictly do work and back

230 miles if I am doing interstate only. Out of over 17 gallons.

My tank is about 18 gallons as well. But I get not great mileage as well. If I do only 50, it's pretty decent.

I get about 30mpg in my MR2 Turbo. 95% of my driving is on a highway though.

My Niva has a range of exactly 317.1 km/179.0 miles. But it only has an 11 gallon tank. The most I’ve pulled from my Comanche has been around 750 km/460 miles, but that’s on 23 gal, and the last 175km/110miles of that’s with the angry orange light on. Where I was when that happened (a couple times) it would have been about a 150 mile drive to an open gas station after 10pm. Gotta love the rural life, lol. I suppose you could add another 100 miles to my range by including the 5gal gas can I carried around.
My parents’ 2004 base-model Impala would go 800+ km/500+ miles before the light came on, but that was with my dad doing 50mph or less the whole way.

700-800 miles per tank.

Farthest I’ve gone is 320 miles. 36 highway my ass...

Do you daily that Impreza? My buddy gets 32 in his — for now.

Oh, actually I drive a Versa, my parents drive the Subarus. My mom averages around 33 in summer. I average a meagre 27,5. Which is about 6 mpg less than the sticker says I should be averaging with mixed driving like I do.

I drove the company Jetta 468 miles without stopping once, because I had to get the dog before the kennel closed. I think it was running on fumes by the end. And I've never had to pee that badly in my life. That's...32-ish miles a gallon? I think it's a 14.5 gallon tank.

Yeah the versa is a small car that should really be more fuel efficient. My wife’s girlfriend has whatever the hatchback is called and it gets 32, maybe 34. Shit I had a Civic DX that got 40 and was fun, and reliable (ish). Fuel economy progress has kind of disappointed me in the shit box category.

It really should be more fuel efficient but I can get about 2-3 weeks on a tank so I’m not really complaining.

Almost 300 mi per tank commuting 10 min to work. 2008 Town Car.

Did 450 miles on just over 3/4 of a tank today in the work truck. ~2010 Chevy 1500 base with the small V8, single cab, 8’ bed. All highway, ~70mph.
My personal vehicle, in the same scenario, gets about 25.5 mpg, but it only has a 16 gal tank. 2002 Outback, base, 5MT.

My 944 has a 21 gallon (!) tank. I have only ever used about 18 of those gallons at a time, though. Freeway driving gets me 450-500 miles before the gauge shows reserve. City driving is about 350 or so before I start looking for a gas station.

I’m jealous, I am pleased if I can get to 350 before the light comes on. That is with getting 30+ mpg. The joys of a 12 gallon tank.

My personal pickup has a 13 gallon tank, and I’m lucky to get anything over 22mpgs... so I usually don’t hit over 300 miles.
![]() 09/14/2015 at 22:29 |

If I don’t drive all/mostly highway then I don’t hit 300 either. No car should be sold with less than a 15 gallon tank.

I am currently hovering around 500 miles on my ZHP, 330 or so actual and 170ish predicted range. 16.6 gallon tank, I need to get 30mpg to hit the range predicted, I’m at 29.1 right now. Not bad for an car rated by the EPA at 27. Also, I held 90mph for about 10-15 miles on the way to work today...

I can do about 430-450 on a tank when I’m home in suburbs, but struggle to get 320 in city driving. Altimas get terrible city mileage.

I'm usually around 350 miles in the kia. I could probably stretch it to close to 400 if I slowed down. But I cruise around 75-80 on the highway and push it hard in town.

19ish (22gal tank) gallons and usually 300ish miles
