I went for an early drive this past Saturday (6 am, actually), and found a 300ZX for sale.

Kinja'd!!!

It was sitting in front of a car wash, which, like this 300ZX, is a bit rough around the edges.

Kinja'd!!!

It’s a 5-speed slicktop (I believe all US slicktops are 5-speed), and appears to be a ‘95 or ‘96.

The trim is peeling, as is the clear coat. The wheels are quite dirty, too. It also has a Florida plate (I’m not in Florida).

I’m a big fan of the Japanese GT cars and Super Coupes, especially from the ‘90s. The Z32 was the first to make me aware of the class’ existance. Someone in my neighborhood had one when I was quite young, it was one of my first Matchbox cars, and a friend of mine gave me a 1:43 diecast of one back in grade school, which was nice of her. I definitely have a soft spot for the Z32, even if it isn’t my favorite in the genre.

A good friend of mine had a TT car. I reeaally liked that car. How much do they go for now. He picked his up for like 5k. Had a dent, but it fixed easy.

I drove one recently for the first time in years, and I was pleasantly surprised at well it holds up. Cool car that’s a good bargain.

OEM door trim can be bought from Nissan, but the quarter window trim can’t be bought without buying a whole new window.

There are a company that will sell you an excellent aftermarket part, this guy mustn’t have heard of them unfortunately.

NADA has it listed at between $5,975 and $14,350 for a TT car.

They are awesome cars! I’m surprised how resonable the prices are staying so far.

That’s some good information. I always like to learn little pieces of information like that. You never know when it might come in handy.

Thanks :) I’m in the process of resurrecting the red one, hopefully it’s not completely dead.

I actually haven’t made a post yet. I’m too scared it will all be for nothing.

You’re right though, I’ll do it :)
