Easy question for Sunday!
With the GT350R, XC90 (which I finally saw in the flesh today, via an intentional detour to my nearest Volvo dealership), F-150, and a bunch of other new releases this year already under our belts, it’s time to look forward to next year’s models.
What are you looking forward to most?
For me, it’s the Jaguar XE. It’s gotten very positive reviews, even dethroning the 3-series in a few recent tests! Jaguar’s hit s home run with the F-Type, I love the XF, and their SUV-making sibling Land Rover is on one heck of a roll.
Remember, this is for 2016MY vehicles, so as much as I love the new Raptor, as a 2017 model it doesn’t qualify.

I’m dying to find out if it meets expectations. And I’m more than ready to see these out and about.

New Optima, XE, and of course, the FoRS.

Focus RS is pretty exciting!

Either the CT6 because Cadillac’s return to a proper full-size luxury sedan
Or the Malibu because hopefully it’ll make Chevy relevant in the midsize segment again.

Im honestly looking forward to the Camaro SS specifically. Honorable mentions to the Ford GT, NSX, Alfieri, Genesis Coupe (if most of those count).

I had the same pic loaded too!
It’s the affordable Hellcat.

I’ll say I’m pretty excited to see how good the new Camaro is.

I’d call the 2008-2012 pretty successful, I see them absolutely everywhere. Current one though, yeah..

Colorado Diesel. Because attainable. And small(ish) diesel pickup.

Based on your username, you do make poor decisions.

Yup.

If it looks as good in person as pictures and the build quality/panel gaps aren’t total crap, I might keep driving my a shitbox another year or two to save up instead of getting a new car next year.

Oh wow, I forgot just how similar to the Territory that front end looks...

This is the correct answer.

Definitely Prius and Pilot. Huge sellers that haven’t been redesigned in years.

That should be our escape :/

BMW M2 and Fiat 124 Spider Abarth. Except maybe both of those are 2017s.

Gonna be different and say Fusion ST, I’m curious to see what they manage to cook up with a larger car.

He said 2016 model year, not 2027...
![]() 09/14/2015 at 00:00 |

Is there any confirmation of that coming, or just wishful thinking?
![]() 09/14/2015 at 00:10 |

Some sort of Fusion has been caught testing with quad tailpipes and a noticeably more aggressive aero kit. It might not be an “ST” but it’s definitely something hot. Plus it makes sense since it’s getting a face lift too for 2016
![]() 09/14/2015 at 01:05 |

That’d be great! I know China’s getting a stretched Fusion as their next Taurus, so I hope it's not that.

VF Commodore series 2.

It should be our Explorer, or the Everest should. The Territory is based on the Falcon, so full-sized. As capable and comfy as the Explorer is, I’d be fine if it got supplanted for one of its Aussie brethren. Keep the Flex as the FWD/AWD crossover/tall wagon.

The end.
