My buddy volunteers at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum and texted me about yesterday’s European motorcycle day. Obviously I had to go. My gf joined me as well, so that made it more fun.

The rain made the turnout pretty slim but it was great nonetheless. I also finally got to see the Ducati Scrambler (my current moto crush) in person. I fit on it!

Anywho, here’s everything I took. Hopefully mobile doesn’t mess it up...it may be too much for Kinja to handle.

I’d say this makes a decent lead image.

I finally got to sit on the Scrambler!

This was started as well. “People don’t realize the technology the Germans were using back then. They see it now and think it’s all new but nope.” - owner

The guy fired it up and put it in gear so we could see how it would run.

Started to draw a crowd.

holy tits.

funny story: last big bike show I went to was a manufacturers show (you know, the new year models, show case them, yada yada yada)
there was a hall for old british bikes. you could only get your bike in if it was running though.

EVERY. SINGLE. BIKE. had a baking tray underneath to catch oil leaking from it. and each one had oil in it XDDDDD

I was amazed at how well these ones all ran. Almost everything was brought in running condition and probably just south of half were someone’s actual ride. Obviously not the 1924 Douglas but there weren’t many trailers around.

I didn’t realize it was this weekend otherwise I would have brought my camera. My buddy texted me in the morning to remind me (he said it was coming up). Rain really hurt the turnout...he said that on good days it would be tank to tank all across the lawn. Still, I’m glad it was damp because then I couldn’t get overwhelmed haha.
