True, but complaining about people because they have a lot doesn’t really help anything, and after a while becomes super annoying. Yes, the guys like the one’s in Jalopnik’s Ferrari/Porsche video are assholes, but that doesn’t mean every last rich person with a fancy car is.

Rich or poor, an asshole is an asshole. That’s the only distinction i make.

For people who think only rich act like the Ferrari and Porsche drivers earlier: i see pizza delivery drivers (among others obvs) drive similarly all night on my street. The only thing stopping them from driving exactly the same is about +550 hp

Anyone who’s acting judgmental to a rich person for their lifestyle choices, is no different than said rich person acting judgmental over YOUR lifestyle choices. Just because you drive Civic rather than an S-Class doesn’t mean your viewpoint is morally superior to theirs, hell it’s probably more petty than theirs.

I understand that conspicuous consumption and Noveau Riche types are obnoxious, but that doesn’t mean you get to act like judgmental assholes while complaining about THEM acting like judgmental assholes (and also doing the whole ‘I believe we should treat everyone equally and not judge on appearance alone’ shit, while not practicing that yourself, but that’s another topic)

I also understand some people truly are spoiled and petty when it comes to their wealth, but if they work hard for it, and if they can afford the car they’re driving along with repairs, insurance, and gas, that’s no skin off my nose.

Besides, if everyone who acted like that towards the rich were in their position of power, they’d buy those cars in a millisecond. As the old saying goes, “If you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”
