It makes me sad that someone would put an Antique Vehicle plate on an E30.
In Illinois, you can only drive an AV-plated vehicle to parades, shows, or the repair shop.
I have “Expanded Antique” plates on my car, which removes those restrictions from April 1 to November 1. It costs you $51/year for the EA plate versus $30 for the next 5 years for the AV plate, but that’s a bargain to be able to drive your car legally, right? Especially an E30...
I doubt you’d have a problem since most police don’t even know that the EA plate exists, but still. $51/year is nothing!
